East Village London Website

After the 2012 London Olympics, the Athletes’ Village in Stratford was converted into apartments and renamed East Village London.

The first phase of the website helped to build interest around the village before the apartments were available.

When information about the apartments became available, the website was redesigned to provide more detailed information, and to create a clear user journey through to one of two agents’ websites where properties are available to rent or buy.

I began by exploring ideas for engaging interactive content to communicate the benefits of living in the new neighbourhood.

The project included a thorough UX process, using wireframes and interactive prototypes in a series of user testing sessions.

Homes are available from two different companies. The website explains the different offers and provides a clear user journey to the relevant websites.

The website includes a detailed directory of local attractions and amenities and a journey planner.

The site uses CSS animation and parallax scrolling to create an engaging experience that works across a wide range of browsers and devices.
